I am referring to the terrorist attacks in Brussels, the city which for more than 10 years now is my home. In the afternoon of the same day, I decided to go for a walk and photograph my neighbourhood, which is quite close to the metro station where one of the attacks took place. You can find the colour pictures on my travel blog. One of them stood out for me and I decided to convert it to b&w with Aurora HDR to give it a timeless quality.

Because despite of the atrocities… life goes on. And there is something that we Belgians like to do when those first sunny days arrive; go to a pub, sit outside and have a cold beer.
